The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of UBC St. Poelten (3-1) in St.Poelten on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Gmunden Swans (2-1) 94-83. American guard MJ Randolph (193-1999, college: FAMU) replied with 28 points and 6 assists and Slovenian swingman Matej Kavas (201-1996, college: Nebraska) added 29 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UBC St. Poelten. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Vienna. UBC St. Poelten at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Oberwart and Kapfenberg. Gmunden Swans is looking forward to face Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#7) at home in the next round. UBC St. Poelten will play against Nord Dragonz (#11) in Eisenstadt and is hoping to win this game.
