Regular Season Round 4: Tofas - Manisa 77-89

The biggest surprise of round 4 was guest Manisa's (3-1) road victory over 6th ranked Tofas (2-2) 89-77 on Sunday evening. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Daron Russell (180-1998, college: Maryland) fired 25 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Center Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Swingman Caleb Homesley (198-1996, college: Liberty) produced 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward JJ OBrien (200-1992, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Manisa moved-up to second place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Petkim. Tofas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Manisa is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Merkezefendi (#16) in Denizl in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tofas will play on the road against Socar Petkim (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
