There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Buyukcekmece (2-2) beat at home one of their biggest challengers Bursaspor (2-2) 75-70 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import Evan Bruinsma (202-1992, college: Detroit, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 9 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side French point guard David Michineau (191-1994) responded with 19 points and 6 assists and Trinidad and Tobago center Johnny Hamilton (213-1994, college: UT Arlington) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Buyukcekmece moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Bursaspor. Buyukcekmece will meet at home Besiktas (#6) in the next round. Bursaspor will play against Bodrum and hope to secure a win.
