No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked KOS (2-2) crushed bottom-ranked Future Team (0-4) in Celovec 81-47 on Thursday. The game without a history. KOS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Future Team to just 7 points in third quarter. KOS forced 25 Future Team turnovers and outrebounded them 42-20 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Future Team's players. The winners were led by Bosnian guard Anto Marusic (185) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Slovenian forward Andi Smrtnik (196-1994) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five KOS players scored in double figures. Coach Stefan Hribar's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Even 9 points and 4 assists by guard Alan Derado (190-2004) did not help to save the game for Future Team. Jakob Siegmund (190) added 12 points for lost side. KOS moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Blackbirds and Towers. Loser Future Team still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Ballers. KOS will meet Towers (#8) in the next round. Future Team will play against Alligators (#4) in Deutsch-Wagram and hopes to get finally their first victory.
