No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked EWE Baskets (4-1) beat on the road 13th ranked Brose Bamberg (1-3) 92-83 on Friday. American players dominated the game. Point guard DeWayne Russell (180-1994, college: GCU) nailed 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and guard Charles Manning Jr (198-1998, college: USA) accounted for 20 points. Guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) came up with 22 points and guard Trey Woodbury (193-1999, college: Utah Valley) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Brose Bamberg in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EWE Baskets have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser Brose Bamberg dropped to the fourteenth place with three games lost. EWE Baskets will meet Hakro Merlins (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
