There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Deisenhofen (3-3) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Skyliners II (3-3) 91-79 on Saturday. Skyliners II outrebounded Deisenhofen 34-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American swingman Trevian Bell (201, college: Lewis) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Nils Leonhardt (197-2000) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Skyliners II players scored in double figures. Skyliners II's coach Sepehr Tarrah used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Janosch Koegler (190-1993) who recorded 20 points and 7 assists and naturalized American Omari Knox (185-1986, college: Bloomfield) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Skyliners II moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Deisenhofen. Skyliners II will meet higher ranked Loewen (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Deisenhofen will play against Coburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
