Undefeated leader Fenerbahce delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 10th ranked Nesibe (3-4) 94-72 in Ankara. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Nesibe's 38. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American point guard Kayla McBride (180-1992, college: Notre Dame) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import forward Natasha Howard (190-1991, college: FSU, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce's coach Valerie Garnier felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Emma Cannon (190-1989, college: FSC) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American-Cameroonian guard Jessica Thomas (168-1994, college: Miami, FL) added 16 points and 7 assists in the effort for Nesibe. Fenerbahce (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Nesibe at the other side keeps the tenth place with four games lost. They share the position with Botas. Fenerbahce will play against Tarsus (#13) in Mersin in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Nesibe will play on the road against Izmit in Kocaeli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
