Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Cerkezkoy and 9th ranked Yalova Vip had identical 3-3 record. But Yalova Vip was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Cerkezkoy 75-68 on Saturday night. Cerkezkoy forced 20 Yalova Vip turnovers and outrebounded them 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American center Ionna McKenzie (188-1996, college: Texas Tech) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds. Basak Gemalmaz (-2002) accounted for 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Cerkezkoy players scored in double figures. American guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) came up with 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Nazli Guler (184-1982) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Yalova Vip in the defeat. Cerkezkoy (4-3) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Emlak 2 and Bursa A. Yalova Vip lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost.
