Rather expected game when 11th ranked Kretinga (2-6) lost to eighth ranked Stekas (4-4) in Vilnius 64-82 on Saturday. Stekas made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stekas made 16 blocks. The winners were led by guard Aistis Pilauskas (188-1998) who scored that evening 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Mantas Serksnas (200-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points. Four Stekas players scored in double figures. Even 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-1986) did not help to save the game for Kretinga.
