Vasco da Gama used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Sangalhos 89-73 on Saturday night. Vasco da Gama made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while Sangalhos only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded Sangalhos 41-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. Four Sangalhos players scored in double figures. Vasco da Gama will meet Maia Basket on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sangalhos will play against Illiabum (#2) and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Liga Betclic just one year after relegation.
