Very expected game when bottom-ranked Mersin G. (0-7) lost on the road to fifth ranked Adana (5-2) 72-63 on Saturday. Adana outrebounded Mersin G. 42-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Mersin G.'s players. It was an exceptional evening for DR Congolese power forward Chanel Mokango (188-1988, college: MSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws). Dilek Topdemir (-1992) accounted for 8 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Guard Mariya Taser (175-2003, college: UTRGV) came up with 20 points and Sudenaz Fidan (-2003) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Mersin G. in the defeat. Mersin G.'s coach Halil Demirbilek let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Adana moved-up to third place, which they share with Botas GA and Bodrum. Mersin G. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with seven games lost.
