Regular Season Round 4: Montana - Rilski Sportist 71-65

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Rilski Sportist (3-1) on the court of fourth ranked Montana on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Montana 71-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rilski Sportist. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Taya Robinson (176-1999, college: VCU, agency: Green Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Terae Briggs (190-1997, college: Nevada) who added 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Denitsa Manolova (179-2006) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Veronika Djikova (179-1990) scored 17 points. Rilski Sportist's coach Margarita Marinkova rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Montana moved-up to second place, which they share with Rilski Sportist and Lokomotiv. Montana is looking forward to face Academic PL (#7) in Plovdiv in the next round where they are favorite. Rilski Sportist will play at home against Champion 2006 (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
