Regular Season Round 3: Tofas - Gaziantep 82-59

Everything went according to plan when Tofas (3-0) outplayed Gaziantep (0-2) in Bursa 82-59 on Monday. Tofas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gaziantep's 34. Tofas forced 26 Gaziantep turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Efe Postel (188-2006) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Omer Engin (183-2006) accounted for 15 points, 10 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Forward Arda Birkeser (200-2005, agency: Octagon Europe) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and Turan Altunbas (-2005, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Gaziantep in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tofas will meet Bahcesehir (#5) in the next round. Gaziantep will play against Cagdas BS (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
