No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedRm Valcea 2 (2-2) beat 8th ranked Brasov (2-2) in Ramnicu Valcea 94-89 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-89. Rm Valcea 2 outrebounded Brasov 47-35 including 21 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by center Dragos Constantinescu (201-2007) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Andreas Blidaru (183-2006) supported him with 27 points and 4 assists. Rm Valcea 2's coach Darko Pandurovic used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 29 points, 5 assists and 7 steals by point guard Ovidiu Stochici (182-1995) did not help to save the game for Brasov . Alexandru Rotar (-2002) added 16 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Five Brasov players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Rm Valcea 2 maintains fourth position with 2-2 record, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Brasov .
