The most surprising game was the first loss ofTargu Jiu 2 (3-1) on the court of eighth ranked Brasov on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Brasov 68-49 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Targu Jiu 2. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-49. Alexandru Berca (184) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Robert Paliciuc (-2004) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Targu Jiu 2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brasov (2-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams.
