There was no surprise when 15th rankedBG Goettingen (1-4) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Hamburg Towers (4-3) 123-118 on Saturday. Hamburg Towers looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. It was a great evening for the former international Lukas Meisner (203-1995, college: Columbia) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Aljami Durham (193-1998, college: Providence) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Hamburg Towers' coach Benka Barloschky used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Umoja Gibson (185-1998, college: DePaul) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and Australian forward Grant Anticevich (206-1999, college: California) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Hamburg Towers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bayern and Bonn. BG Goettingen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with four games lost.
