Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh rankedUrla and 12th ranked Yalova Vip had identical 3-5 record. But Yalova Vip was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Izmir 78-66 on Wednesday night. Urla looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Irem Yalcin (-1998) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) with 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Nazli Guler (184-1982) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Urla (4-5) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Emlak 2 and Cerkezkoy. Yalova Vip lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost.
