There was a small surprise when eighth rankedKirchheim Knights (5-3) beat at home 6th ranked 46ers (5-4) 105-99 on Saturday. Kirchheim Knights made 31-of-36 free shots (86.1 percent) during the game. Kirchheim Knights outrebounded 46ers 31-19 including a 23-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kirchheim Knights shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Miller (193-1997, college: N.Texas) who scored 24 points and 8 assists. The other American import guard Michael Flowers (185-1999, college: WSU) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). The former international forward Robin Benzing (208-1989) produced 20 points and 4 assists and Serbian forward Stefan Fundic (200-1994) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. 46ers' coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to sixth place. Loser 46ers dropped to the seventh position with four games lost.
