Regular Season Round 11: Hatay - Tarsus 68-80

Bottom-ranked Hatay (0-10) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-68 loss to fourteenth ranked Tarsus (2-8) in Hatay. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Danielle Robinson (178-1989, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Center Khadijiah Cave (190-1995, college: Baylor) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Jessica Jackson (193-1995, college: Arkansas) answered with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and swingman Jaelyn Brown (184-1998, college: California) added 20 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Hatay. Tarsus moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Cankaya. Hatay lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost. Tarsus will play against higher ranked Botas (#12) in Adana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hatay will play on the road against Besiktas in Istanbul and hopes to get finally their first victory.
