Regular Season Round 8: Traiskirchen - UBSC Graz 74-72

The most exciting game of round 8 in the BSL took place in Traiskirchen. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 8th rankedUBSC Graz (3-4) to seventh ranked Arkadia Lions (5-3) 74-72 on Sunday evening. UBSC Graz was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Arkadia Lions forced 20 UBSC Graz turnovers. Strangely UBSC Graz outrebounded Arkadia Lions 36-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Davon Clare (198-1998, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds and Latvian point guard Edgars Lasenbergs (187-1995) who added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American forward Chris Brandon (203, college: NKU, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Zach Cooks (175-1999, college: Hofstra) scored 22 points. Five Arkadia Lions and four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Arkadia Lions moved-up to fifth place, which they share with St.Poelten and Wels. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost.
