Skyliners (9-1) recorded its first loss on the court of second ranked Science City Jena on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Science City Jena 86-75 . It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Skyliners. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Jena made 21-of-7 free shots (300.0 percent) during the game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Booker Coplin (191-1997, college: Augsburg, agency: BIG) who recorded 15 points and 5 assists and Canadian forward David Muenkat (201-2000, college: St.Francis X.) added 16 points (on 6-of-4 shooting from the field) respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Science City Jena have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record having just three points less than leader Frankfurt, which they share with Trier. Frankfurt at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Science City Jena is looking forward to face Kirchheim Knights (#6) on the road in the next round. Frankfurt will play against Duesseldorf (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
