Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third rankedTimisoara 2 and 4th placed Targu Jiu 2 had identical 4-2 record. This time Timisoara 2 used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Rovinari 96-52 on Monday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Timisoara 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Targu Jiu 2 to just 6 points in first quarter. Timisoara 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Jiu 2 's 40. Timisoara 2 forced 26 Targu Jiu 2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Mihai Badita (-2003) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Serban Horga (187-2007) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Four Timisoara 2 players scored in double figures. Forward Adrian Vaida came up with 8 points and 6 rebounds and British guard Andrei Baragan (188-2003) added 8 points respectively for Targu Jiu 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Timisoara 2 . They moved-up to second place, which they share with RBA Getica and CSU ASE. Targu Jiu 2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with three games lost.
