There was no surprise when 6th rankedGrevenbroich (6-7) was defeated at home by first ranked ETB Miners (11-2) 117-103 on Monday. ETB Miners well out of reach of Grevenbroich shooting 84.5 percent from the field. They outrebounded Grevenbroich 29-12 including a 18-6 advantage in defensive rebounds. Canadian-Italian point guard Justin Andrew (183-1997, college: St.Francis X.) stepped up and scored 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and American point guard Bryant Allen (183-1990, college: Dakota St.) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Five ETB Miners players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Brian Dawson (188, college: Regis Univ., agency: Interperformances) responded with 28 points and 4 assists and point guard Muslim Ozmeral (184-2001) scored 20 points and 4 assists (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Grevenbroich's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ETB Miners have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Grevenbroich lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Muenster 2.
