Regular Season Round 7: VKKM - SKM I 76-87

The most surprising game was the first loss ofVKKM (6-1) in Vilniaus on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked SKM I (3-4) 87-76 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of VKKM. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 48-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. SKM I dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to VKKM 's 44. SKM I forced 23 VKKM turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Gabrielius Jokubauskas (194-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Airidas Petraitis (189-2006) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Paulius Narvilas (200-2006) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Kristupas Grybas (202-2006) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Five SKM I and four VKKM players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SKM I moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. VKKM at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Zalgiris.
