Regular Season Round 9: Amager - Falcon 68-71

Fourth-rankedAmager (2-4) made lots of trouble for leader Falcon (7-0) in Kastrup on Saturday. The visitors from Copenhagen managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68 . However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amager. They outrebounded Amager 43-30 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was international guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) who scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Katrine Lassen (178-1999) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Anna Seilund (174-1993, college: USF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and Isabella Palmqvist (182-2004) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Five Falcon and four Amager players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Falcon have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. Amager at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost.
