Regular Season Round 15: MBC-Niko 2 - Push Krop. 83-87 OT

Very important is a home loss of third rankedMBC-Niko 2 (10-4) against tenth ranked Push Krop. (3-10) on Sunday night. Host MBC-Niko 2 was defeated by Push Krop. in a tough game in Mykolaiv in overtime83-87 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of MBC-Niko 2. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-11 . But MBC-Niko 2 won second period 26-15 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where MBC-Niko 2 used huge pressure winning it 15-10 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 5-9 . It was an exceptional evening for Roman Potieiev (188-2007) who led the winners and scored 33 points (!!!). Forward Vadim Ogodnik (189-2000) accounted for 12 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Oleksandr Garbar (200-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds and forward Maksym Shtanko (200-1999) added 20 points and 11 rebounds respectively for MBC-Niko 2 in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MBC-Niko 2's coach Valentin Berestnev tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Push Krop. maintains tenth place with 3-10 record. MBC-Niko 2 at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost.
