There was no surprise in Bursa where 14th rankedBalikesir (5-9) was defeated by seventh ranked Final Spor (7-7) 94-80 on Friday. American guard Deshon Taylor (188-1996, college: Fresno St.) scored 31 points and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Brendan Medley-Bacon (213-2000, college: NCCU) chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Josh Sharkey (175-1997, college: Samford) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists and swingman Yigit Karalar (194-2003) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Final Spor maintains seventh position with 7-7 record, which they share with Haremspor and Igdir. Balikesir lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Ormanspor and Bornova.
