There was no surprise when 13th rankedEhingen/Urspringschule (3-10) was edged on the road by third ranked Ludwigsburg (8-5) 103-100 on Wednesday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ludwigsburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Cypriot Aeneas Jung (202-2002, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Luca Stuebel (188-2004) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Finnish point guard Valtteri Mervola (185-2002, agency: Blacktop Management) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center Vincent Neugebauer (213-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Ludwigsburg and five Ehingen players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Ludwigsburg maintains third position with 8-5 record having just one point less than leader Koeln. Loser Ehingen/Urspringschule dropped to the fourteenth place with ten games lost.
