There was a small surprise when twelfth rankedWolfenbuettel (1-5) defeated at home 9th ranked Wusterhausen (3-8) 91-87 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 31-26 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Wolfenbuettel made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Wusterhausen outrebounded Wolfenbuettel 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Leon Fertig (190-2001) who scored 21 points. Five Wolfenbuettel and four Wusterhausen players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Wolfenbuettel maintains twelfth place with 1-5 record. Loser Wusterhausen keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. They share it with Westerstede.
