There was a surprise result when thirteenth rankedTarsus (4-10) beat higher ranked Emlak (7-7) in Mersin 80-74 on Saturday. Tarsus made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Danielle Robinson (178-1989, college: Oklahoma) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 assists. Her fellow American import center Khadijiah Cave (190-1995, college: Baylor) accounted for 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Four Tarsus players scored in double figures. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 13 rebounds and center Gizem Basaran (194-1992) added 16 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Emlak in the defeat. Tarsus maintains thirteenth place with 4-10 record, which they share with Cankaya. Emlak lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Nesibe.
