The game between closely ranked teams ended with 13th rankedBraunschweig 's (4-8) road loss to twelfth ranked Seawolves (5-6) in Rostock 78-101 on Sunday. Rostock made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import swingman Eric Lockett (196-1995, college: NC State) accounted for 15 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Lockett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Angolan center Jilson Bango (208-1999) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks and American guard Ahmaad Rorie (186-1995, college: Montana, agency: Worldwide SM) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Braunschweig in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rostock moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Bamberg and Oldenburg. Loser Braunschweig dropped to the fourteenth position with eight games lost.
