We should mention about the upset which took place in Ankara, where higher rankedBotas GA (8-7) lost at home to twelfth ranked Mersin G. (5-10) 59-66 on Monday. Mersin G. had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 16 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Guard Mariya Taser (175-2003, college: UTRGV) helped adding 9 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Saliha Mandiraci (169-2002) with 22 points and point guard Isik Guven (173-2005) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Botas GA's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Mersin G. maintains twelfth place with 5-10 record. Loser Botas GA keeps the sixth position with seven games lost.
