Regular Season Round 13: Rostock - Bonn 98-92

We should mention about the upset which took place in Rostock, where higher rankedTelekom Baskets (9-6) lost to eleventh ranked Seawolves (6-6) in a road game 92-98 . Rostock shot 65.4 percent from the field and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Rostock players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. His fellow American import point guard Wes Clark (183-1994, college: Buffalo) contributed with 13 points and 7 assists for the winners. Seawolves' coach Christian Held allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (183-1997, college: Nebraska) answered with 22 points and 6 assists and swingman Sam Griesel (200-2000, college: Nebraska) added 17 points in the effort for Bonn. Five Rostock and four Bonn players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Seawolves . Rostock moved-up to tenth place. Bonn at the other side dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Rostock will play against higher ranked Vechta (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bonn will have a break next round.
