Very predictable result in Quakenbrueck where tenth rankedMuenster (8-6) defeated bottom-ranked Artland Dragons (1-13) 92-77 on Tuesday. Muenster made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Artland turnovers and outrebounded them 39-24 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Adam Touray (206-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Center Jonas Weitzel (205-1998) chipped in 14 points. American Brandon Thomas (198-1984, college: UMass, agency: Interperformances) produced 19 points and his fellow American import point guard Buzz Anthony (180-1998, college: RMC) added 9 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Five Muenster and four Artland players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Muenster moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bayreuth and Karlsruhe PS. Artland lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
