Regular Season Round 15: UBSC Graz - Timberwolves 93-72

There was no surprise when 10th rankedTimberwolves (2-12) were crushed on the road by fifth ranked UBSC Graz (9-5) 93-72 on Friday. The game without a history. UBSC Graz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves ' 30. UBSC Graz looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American center Avery Diggs (208-1998, college: Chattanooga, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jeremy Smith (190-1991, college: Nicholls St.) helped adding 21 points and 6 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenian center Ziga Fifolt (210-1993) with 20 points and the former international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-1990) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Timberwolves' coach Justin Schlunken gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for UBSC Graz . They maintain fifth place with 9-5 record. Timberwolves lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost.
