Rather predictable result in Izmir where sixth rankedTurgutlu (9-8) defeated 10th ranked Urla (7-11) 77-66 on Friday. Turgutlu made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Turgutlu outrebounded Urla 41-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Lauren Ebo (193-2000, college: Notre Dame) who scored 24 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Sule Aktas (-1998) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Turgutlu players scored in double figures. Turgutlu's coach Tevfik Artun used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points and 18 rebounds and Irem Tulgar (-1990) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Turgutlu maintains sixth place with 9-8 record, which they share with Adana. Loser Urla keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost.
