Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedBrasov (10-5) beat at home bottom-ranked Laguna S. (0-13) 85-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Laguna S. managed to win second period 24-12 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Brasov dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Laguna S. 's 30. The best player for the winners was American forward Juwan Gray (203-1996, college: Towson, agency: Blacktop Management) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jacoby Armstrong (201-1995, college: UNH) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Brasov's coach Ionut Bascoveanu used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was French center Thomas Smallwood (213-1995, college: Chattanooga) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Bosnian-Croatian power forward Sandro Antunovic (208-1998) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Brasov . They moved-up to third place. Laguna S. lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost.
