Bottom-rankedVienna United (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-52 loss to fourth ranked DBBC Graz (5-3) in Vienna. It looked good early as Vienna United took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then DBBC Graz had a 23-14 second period charge getting the lead and Vienna United was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 52-75. DBBC Graz dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna United 's 28. DBBC Graz forced 35 Vienna United turnovers. Vienna United was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ajla Meskic (183-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Slovenian guard Simona Kuzma (168-1987) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Four DBBC Graz players scored in double figures. Center Antonia Reissner (189-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and guard Jula Schmidt (172-2006) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Vienna United. Vienna United's coach Vedran Schuch gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. DBBC Graz maintains fourth place with 5-3 record. Vienna United lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost.
