Not a big story in a game in Rovinari where 9th rankedCraiova 2 (3-8) was edged by fifth ranked Targu Jiu 2 (5-6) 62-60 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Targu Jiu 2 forced 22 Craiova 2 turnovers. The best player for the winners was Flavius Toropu (-2005) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Targu Jiu 2 maintains fifth place with 5-6 record, which they share with Politehnica Iasi. Loser Craiova 2 keeps the ninth position with eight games lost.
