The game between third rankedGheorgheni (6-5) and sixth ranked Ploiesti CSM 2 Gheorgheni was defeated by Ploiesti CSM 2 in a tough game in Ploiesti 73-79 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gheorgheni. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-73. Ploiesti CSM 2 forced 27 Gheorgheni turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Codrut-Alexander Dinu (187-2007) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Rares Movileanu (193-2007) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Ploiesti CSM 2 players scored in double figures. Center Tamas Bodo (-2003) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and guard Matyas Lokody (190-1987) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ploiesti CSM 2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Gheorgheni .
