LeaderOradea delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Focsani (1-14) 95-67 . The game without a history. Oradea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Focsani 's 40. They outrebounded Focsani 44-26 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Oradea players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Catalin Baciu (214-1988, college: Clemson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Lennard Freeman (203-1995, college: NC State) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Sherwood Brown (193-1991, college: FGCU) replied with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Derryck Thornton (190-1997, college: Boston Coll.) added 11 points in the effort for Focsani. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oradea maintains first position with 13-2 record. Focsani lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost.
