Everything went according to plan when fifth rankedGheorgheni (7-5) won against at home 10th ranked ACS Bucuresti (1-11) 74-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 11 points. Gheorgheni forced 27 ACS Bucuresti turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Matyas Lokody (190-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Slovenian point guard Matevz Magusar (185-1989) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Gheorgheni players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Andrei Pascal (-2001) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Victor Sorlescu (-1999) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gheorgheni moved-up to third place, which they share with RBA Getica. ACS Bucuresti lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 11 games lost.
