There was a surprise result when ninth rankedSeawolves 2 (8-8) beat higher ranked Braves (8-7) in Berlin 72-54 on Saturday. The winners were led by American guard Branden Maughmer (190-1999, college: Morehead St., agency: Helping Ballers) who scored that evening 20 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and forward Michael Jost (202-1988) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Even 11 points by Noah Litzbach (196-2000) did not help to save the game for Berlin BG 2000 . The former international center Andreas Seiferth (209-1989) added 6 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Braves' coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Rostock II moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ludwigsburg and TKS 49ers. Berlin BG 2000 lost third consecutive game. Berlin BG 2000 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Wolmirstedt and BSW Sixers.
