There was an upset when higher rankedWolmirstedt (8-7) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Herford (6-10) 101-96 on Saturday. Herford shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. The winners were led by naturalized American Shawn Gulley (200-1993, college: Temple JC) who scored that evening 27 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Collin Turner (185-1995, college: Angelo St.) supported him with 27 points and 5 assists. Even 21 points and 7 rebounds by center Bill Borekambi (199-1992, college: Sequoias CC) did not help to save the game for Wolmirstedt . Martin Bogdanov (186-1992) added 14 points and 6 assists for lost side. Wolmirstedt's coach Eiko Potthast tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Herford moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Iserlohn and Bernau. Loser Wolmirstedt dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with BSW Sixers and Berlin BG 2000.
