Not a big story in a game when 5th rankedBlyskavky (2-11) was outscored by second ranked Frankivsk (12-2) in Ivano-Frankivsk 108-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Frankivsk. Blyskavky managed to win third quarter 22-21 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Frankivsk dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Blyskavky 's 34 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Frankivsk forced 20 Blyskavky turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. Frankivsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Blyskavky 's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Oksana Mollova (188-1988, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Olha Alekseychuk (166-1992) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Five Frankivsk players scored in double figures. Frankivsk's coach Yuriy Protsuk felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Victoria Shoshoya (168-2005) came up with 18 points and guard Victoria Bogachenko (170-2005) added 16 points respectively for Blyskavky in the defeat. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Frankivsk . Defending champion maintains second place with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader Kyiv Basket. Blyskavky lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Dynamo-NPU.
