Fourteenth-rankedOrmanspor (8-13) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Gaziantep (16-5) in Ankara on Sunday. The visitors from Gaziantep managed to secure only one-point victory 97-96 . However their fans expected much easier game. Gaziantep dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Ormanspor 's 32 and made 24-of-27 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Gaziantep looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Maurice Watson (178-1993, college: Creighton) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds, 15 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Latvian Rolands Freimanis (209-1988) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Ian Miller (191-1991, college: FSU) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 8 assists and the other American import center Eric Buckner (208-1990, college: Georgia St.) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ormanspor in the defeat. Five Gaziantep and four Ormanspor players scored in double figures. Gaziantep maintains third place with 16-5 record having just three points less than leader Yalovaspor. Ormanspor at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Fenerbahce 2.
