Regular Season Round 19: Timberwolves - Furstenfeld 86-65

Bottom-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (0-19) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-65 loss to tenth ranked Timberwolves (5-14) in Vienna on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Timberwolves. Furstenfeld managed to win second period 21-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Timberwolves outrebounded Furstenfeld Panthers 40-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Moritz Lanegger (190-1990) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. Forward Elias Wlasak (190-2000) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Timberwolves' coach Justin Schlunken felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Dylan Causwell (203-1995, college: USAO) responded with 25 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Joe Hampton (203-1998, college: LBSU) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Timberwolves maintains tenth place with 5-14 record. Furstenfeld lost their nineteenth game in a row. They still close the standings.
