There was no surprise in Istanbul where 11th rankedBuyukcekmece (7-11) was defeated by eighth ranked Darussafaka Lassa (9-9) 88-80 on Monday. Darussafaka looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Brendan Adams (193-2000, college: GWU) who scored 17 points and 8 assists. Power forward Josh Carlton (209-1999, college: Houston) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five Darussafaka Lassa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Marcquise Reed (190-1995, college: Clemson, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 30 points and 6 rebounds and Evan Bruinsma (202-1992, college: Detroit, agency: Octagon Europe) added 23 points respectively. Darussafaka moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Galatasaray and Petkim. Buyukcekmece at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Bursaspor and Bahcesehir.
