Regular Season Round 14: VKKM - VKM 95-89

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Vilniaus:VKKM (#6) and VKM (#3). VKKM (9-5) won against visiting VKM (9-5) 95-89 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of VKM. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But VKM won third quarter 18-14 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VKKM looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 30 personal fouls committed by VKM helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Justas Dargevicius (181-2006) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Guard Jokubas Zilius (190-2006) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Grantas Strelciunas (185-2007) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Dziugas Remeikis (190-2006) added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in the effort for VKM. Four VKKM and five VKM players scored in double figures. VKKM moved-up to third place, which they share with Panevezio and VKM.
