There was no surprise in Bucuresti where 5th rankedRm Valcea 2 (6-9) was outplayed by leader Steaua (15-0) 110-57 on Sunday. The game without a history. Steaua led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Rm Valcea 2 's 18. Steaua forced 19 Rm Valcea 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 60-20 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard BJ Fitzgerald (198-2000, college: Virginia St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Joey Potts (208-1999, college: Oregon Tech) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Christos Ciriperu (-2003) who recorded 20 points and guard Andreas Blidaru (183-2006) added 10 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Steaua .
